§ 25 TDDDG explained simply

§ 25 of the Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG, formerly TTDSG) implements the ePrivacy requirements and governs access to terminal equipment.

Is this a risk?

Paragraph 1: storing information on the device or accessing it is permitted only with consent by the GDPR standard. Paragraph 2: exception where access serves the transmission of a message or is strictly necessary for a service expressly requested by the user. Analytics, marketing and convenience functions do not fall under the exception.

How consentglass helps

The free scan checks the delivered HTML and shows which services are embedded, whether a cookie banner is detected and whether privacy-policy and legal-notice links are present — with context for each finding. It is not a substitute for legal advice.
