The provider is the service provider named in the legal notice (“we”). These terms apply to the use of consentglass at consentglass.com.
consentglass analyses the publicly delivered HTML of a given website and produces a report on detected third parties, cookie banners and linked legal texts. The free scan is available without a contract. Paid monitoring covers the recurring re-scan of stored URLs and an email notification on detected changes. The scope of service follows from the product description at the time of booking.
The analysis is automated, evaluates only the initial HTML and is not a substitute for legal advice. We owe no particular analysis or legal outcome.
The paid contract is formed upon completion of the payment process. The term is one month and renews automatically by one further month unless terminated with 14 days' notice to the end of the term. Termination is possible at any time via the customer account or by email to the address named in the legal notice.
The prices stated at the time of booking apply. We apply the small-business scheme under § 19 UStG; no VAT is shown. Billing is monthly in advance via our payment provider Stripe.
We strive for high availability but owe no particular availability rate. We announce maintenance where possible.
The customer may only submit URLs for scanning or monitoring that they are entitled to check or in whose checking there is a legitimate interest. Automated bulk use, use to harass third parties or circumvention of technical limits is prohibited. In case of breach we may block access.
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, as well as under the Product Liability Act and for injury to life, body or health. For simple negligence we are liable only for breach of a material contractual obligation and limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract. Otherwise liability is excluded.
We give no warranty for the completeness or accuracy of the automated analysis; decisions on legal action are taken by the customer on their own responsibility.
German law applies. If the customer is a merchant, a legal person under public law or a special fund under public law, the place of jurisdiction is the provider's registered office. Should individual provisions be invalid, the contract remains otherwise effective.
