GDPR check for Wix

Wix comes with its own analytics and marketing functions and loads resources from its own infrastructure. Part of the embedding is in the platform's hands.

Is this a risk?

Wix Analytics, embedded third-party apps and marketing tools require consent (§ 25 (1) TDDDG). The bundled cookie banner must be configured so that non-necessary services load only after agreement.

What you can do

• In the Wix cookie manager, set all non-necessary categories to “only after consent”.
• Check embedded apps individually and add them to the privacy policy.
• Switch external embeds (video, maps) to click solutions where possible.
• Check the delivered source code for what loads before agreement.
